Preparation Tips - the Do's
Yes, we know that the prep for colonoscopy is not a walk in the park. Here are some tips as to how to take the preparation and make it taste better and tips on how to handle the liquid diet the day before.
Chill the fluids:
Make bad-tasting liquids more palatable. Keep them chilled in the fridge or even freeze them and grind them to make them into a slushee.
Use a straw:
Drink liquids through a straw placed far back on your tongue.
Drink clear soft drinks:
Carbonation can fool your stomach into thinking it’s full.
Drink juice:
Drink lots of juices without pulp apple, white grape, lemonade).

Hard candies, popsicles and sorbets can make you feel like you’re eating solid foods even when you are not.
Make some jello:
Eating something that has texture can help your stomach feel full (just avoid red, purple or blue)
Low fiber diet: Try to come up with a grain-free and low fiber diet until your procedure.
Keep moving around and do not stay sedentary – the more you move around the better
