Preparation Tips - the Don'ts


One week before the procedure:

Avoid the grains: ​Avoid foods that contain a lot of grains (multigrain bread or pasta, cereals, oatmeal, granola, brown rice, quinoa, chips, pop-corn, corn).

Avoid nuts and seeds: Avoid eating nuts and seeds, or any foods that contain them in large proportions.

Supplements: If you take any fiber supplements now is the time to stop.

​Avoid fatty foods

Avoid tough meat with gristle


Three days before the procedure:

​Avoid legumes: Vegetables such as red beans, lentils, chick peas, dried peas are harder to digest, so avoid them 3 days prior to your procedure.

Avoid fruits with small seeds:  Avoid eating strawberries, kiwi, watermelon, blackberries, grapes, and tomatoes 3 days prior to your procedure.


One day before the procedure:

​Do not consume anything that is RED, PURPLE or BLUE in colour.

Do not consume any milk or other dairy products or dairy supplements like soy milk.

Do not consume dark coloured soft drinks.

Do not drink juice with pulp.
